The First Ascent to Breslauer Hut | I began this multi-day birthday hike in the Austrian Alps with the summer heatwave building far below me, grateful for the cooler mountain air above Vent. After leaving my car at the chairlift station, I had barely climbed the first hundred meters when the valley opened toward the northeast. From the green pastures in front of me, my eyes followed the winding valley road and river into the distance, all the way to the rising peaks of the Stubai Alps. Ahead of me were still 1,000 meters of ascent to the Breslauer Hut, but in this quiet moment I felt both the weight of the journey and the deep joy of starting it. - Realized with Pictrs.com
